Acid Pickling
Acid pickling products remove scale, rust and other contaminants from metal surfaces. It is often the final cleaning stage prior to pretreatment of plating. Chemetall's products activate the surface to prepare it for plating and provide a light etch for better adhesion.

Gardacid P 4462/1 is a sulfuric acid-based acid pickle designed to remove rust and scale from steel. It provides some cleaning and produces very little sludge or scale.

SCN-9194 is a liquid neutral rust stripper specifically formulated for removing rust from ferrous parts between machining operations prior to assembly or pretreatment and painting. Unlike other rust stripping materials, which tend to activate the metal surface and develop flash rust, SCN-9194 provides short-term rust protection.

PC 10 inhibits sulfuric acid pickling solutions from attacking sound metal. By preventing overpickling, metal loss is reduced and the life of the acid bath is prolonged. Plus, the controlled foam blanket reduces fumes and ensures better rinsing.
