CrysCoat 2187 is designed for use in the third stage of 5-stage pre-paint processes to produce a high performance iron phosphate coating on steel, galvanized steel, galvaneal and aluminum.

Manual Hot High Pressure or Steam

This fast-acting material effectively removes oils, shop soils and light smuts while developing a conversion coating that improves the adhesion of subsequently applied finishes.

Ferroxphate Coatings

A revolutionary conversion coating technology, Chemetall's ferroxphate coatings provide excellent paint adhesion. Called "ferroxphate" conversion coatings because of the thin, amorphous, iron-rich pre-paint conversion coating that develops on steel substrates, these products perform at near-ambient temperatures. The energy savings often exceeds the cost of the ferroxphate chemical itself.

Our ferroxphate coatings are acidic, liquid products that can be used under powder, liquid, high solids liquid, and electrocoat paints. These non-toxic chemistries can be used with both chrome and non-chrome final seals and contain no heavy metals.

Gardobond A 4920 produces a unique conversion coating on cleaned iron and steel substrates. Although small amounts of aluminum and zinc substrates may be processed with Gardobond A 4920, coatings will not be formed on these substrates.
Gardobond A 4921 is used in the pretreatment of cleaned ferrous, aluminum and zinc substrates.
Gardobond A 4923 both cleans and produces a unique conversion coating on iron, steel, aluminum and zinc substrates. Environmentally friendly, Gardobond A 4923 contains no HAP's, VOC's, or ODC's.

Ferroxphate Related Products

Gardobond Additive H 7384 is a neutral-pH, liquid spray-applied product that supplements the cleaning ability of the low-temperature ferroxphate products.
