Phosphate Coatings, Zinc
Zinc phosphate coatings prior to electrophoretic, powder, solvent-borne and water-borne paints are a part of Chemetall's diverse family of liquid zinc phosphate products.
Immersion
Gardobond 24 T, the manganese-modified, nickel-containing, low-zinc phosphate process for steel and galvanized steel, produces coatings that are suitable for electrophoretic, powder, solvent-borne and water-borne paints.
Calcium-modified CrysCoat CM develops an exceptionally fine-grained coating on steel without a separate activator.
CrysCoat OC is a heavy zinc phosphate for iron and steel substrates, used primarily to form absorption pretreatments for post treatments such as oiling.
CrysCoat OC NF is nickel-free and used to form absorption pretreatments for iron and steel substrates.
CrysCoat XH is a heavy zinc phosphate primarily designed to provide heavyweight absorption coatings for iron and steel substrates of approximately 4000 mg/ft2. Meets MIL-DTL-16232.
Formulated to provide medium-weight zinc phosphate coatings on steel, Gardobond Z 3100 is used in wire drawing and light to medium cold forging operations with lube or salt carrier coatings.
Gardobond Z 3510 is a material designed to establish zinc phosphate conversion coatings for wire drawing, cold forging operations and strand line/continuous line applications.
Gardobond 585 is a continuous strand line applied coating for pretreatment prior to wire drawing.
Spray
Gardobond 24 S is the spray-applied counterpart to Gardobond 24 T.
Low-sludging CrysCoat LWT is an internally-accelerated, robust, and simple-to-use zinc phosphate coating for steel.

CrysCoat MP is a nickel-containing, zinc phosphate process for steel, hot dip galvanized steel, galvanneal and electrogalvanized steel.

Gardobond 51/2 is a low-temperature, robust, simple-to-use, nickel-containing zinc phosphate for steel.
Approval(s): Federal Specification TT-C-490 Type 1
CrysCoat ZS 400 is ideally suited for coating difficult steel alloys such as those used by the military.
Approval(s): Federal Specification TT-C-490 Type 1
Primarily for steel, CrysCoat FG is nickel free.
Additives
This product accelerates the spray and immersion zinc phosphate processes, produces finer crystals, less sludge, softer scale and a more stable process solution.
Oakite CrysCoat Adjust ZA is an alkaline powdered upkeep material. It's added to the baths (working solutions) of certain zinc phosphate conversion coating materials to supplement their zinc content and, thus, control free acid.
